Principals' MessageDear CMA Families, National Hispanic Heritage Month honors the achievements, contributions, culture, and history of the Hispanic and Latino American people and it is celebrated September 15th- Oct 15th. Last year we were focused on and celebrated important people of Hispanic descent and inviting families to share themselves and their culture to students. In 2019, we want to continue to celebrate and bring the joy of our students’ cultures to our school community. We would love to invite you to celebrate with your students and our school. Your students teacher will be contacting you with more information and we invite you to join us.
With Gratitude, Ms. Canady and Mrs. Weingarten Principals' MessageDear CMA Families, It has been a wonderful first 2 weeks of school! We have begun building the foundational blocks to a very successful school year! We discussed some very important policies at back to school night that we would like to reiterate below; Please read very carefully and support us to support your child grow to reach their full potential! Attendance Announcements If your student is not going to be at school please call the front office to let them know the reason. When your student returns please provide the front office with a doctor’s note. After 3 unexcused absences you will attend a mandatory meeting with our Operations Manager to discuss how we can best support your child getting to school. Please be aware that the Caliber: ChangeMakers Academy relies on the funding it receives for students’ Average Daily Attendance (ADA). Caliber: ChangeMakers Academy’s General Purpose (GP) funding is based solely on the actual attendance of its students. The school loses $35 per day for every student absence. No absences are excused in regards to state ADA funds. Attendance does have to be documented as excused or unexcused for grading and statistical purposes. For this documentation, please send a note stating the reason for the absence and signed by the student's parent or guardian. Thank you for your partnership,
