Dear Caliber Families,
We are full of gratitude to all of our families and students that have supported our students in accessing and participating in the virtual learning our amazing staff have created!
School Closure Timing
At this point in time we know that we will NOT be returning to school on April 6th. The experts are telling us we could be out of school between 6-8 weeks. As soon as we get more information we will communicate to you immediately.
Meal Team Operators will continue to distribute meals to our CMA community. There have been slight changes for meal distribution. Families will receive packaged meals to last for a couple of days. We are doing this in an effort to protect our staff and families. Pick up remains the same between 10:00 AM - 12 Noon.
With love and partnership,
We have entered the beautiful month of February- Black History Month.
Black History Month will be CMA’s focus for February. This is a special time where we promote knowledge of black history, culture, and heritage.
Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing the central role of blacks in U.S. history. In 2020, we want to continue to celebrate and bring the joy of our students’ cultures into our school community. Learning about people, events, and themes that are central to Black culture, history, pride, civil rights, beauty and resilience will broaden our students' understanding and appreciation of their own, others, and American history. This year, each classroom will create a ‘living museum’ to celebrate Black History Month, on Friday, February 28th. . Please see the times for your grade-levels below.
In addition, we would also like to invite you to join a circle- let your child’s teacher know if you would like to come in and share something with their class during Black History Month. We always want to learn from our families! Circle times for each grade are included below.

Keep Up With Current Events
Families who have yet to finalize their current 2019-2020 documents are encouraged to submit them promptly. In not submitting them, you are jeopardizing your students spot for next school year, 2020-2021.
For questions/inquiries, please call Ms. Laura @ 707.805.7038 or via email @ Registration@calibercma.org
As our ChangeMakers community moves into a well deserved break, we would love your feedback on how you think the school year is going so far! Surveys like the one below allow your voice to be heard and can help us shape a direction for the future of ChangeMakers Academy together!
Please take some time to complete our family survey below!
We’d like to bring awareness to Breast Cancer in our Caliber community. Wearing the color pink expresses moral support for women battling breast cancer as well as women and men who have survived this battle!
We invite all students to wear the color pink along with jeans!
Do's & Don'ts
DO wear the color pink, wear pink accessories, and/or supportive pink ribbons. Below are some examples of what students may wear:

Hello Caliber Families,
One of the things at the HEART of what makes Caliber: Changemakers Academy different from other schools is the depth of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and mental health support that we provide through our team of clinicians. That team, which is lead by Dr. Soundhari, provides services on our campus, and can also help inform you about other services in the community.
All students already participate in morning Community Circles with their entire class and some receive additional supports from the team as needed. We wanted to make sure you and your children know how to access further services if you feel that more is needed.
If you or your child feels like they need additional emotional or mental health support, you can contact Dr. Soundhari at 707.867.22711 to discuss options. The team can then connect with you about accessing services we provide at the school or other services that may be available in the Vallejo community.
